Siding was also blown off a church south of Mexico Airport (MYJ), power poles were knocked down by tree limbs in Vandalia, and a roof was blown off a trailer in Laddonia. Other communities in the storm's path are Scott's Corner, Rush Hill, and Martinsburg.

Portions of Pershing, Birdsley, and Dogwood roads had to be temporarily closed due to downed trees and powerlines. It was reported that more than 30,000 were without power at one point. Numerous large trees were broken in Oakland, some landing on homes. The ASOS at Omaha Eppley Airport recorded a 90 mph wind gust, and damage was consistent with 80 to 100 mph wind gusts. There was one report of a hospitalization due to injuries resulting from a tree falling into one of the resident's bedroom.

This storm continued to produce winds in excess of 90 miles per hour as it moved through western portions of Pottawattamie County. Just like in northeastern Douglas County, multiple roads were closed due to down trees and powerlines. Winds continued to weaken with eastward extent after the storm moved across Interstate 80, though severe wind gusts and damage were reported as far east as Oakland where numerous trees and branches were down across the town. Emergency management reported several houses with trees on them in addition to building debris being blown several blocks in some instances.
