23:39Z 60 IL Cook Des Plaines Scattered tree limbs were blown down in Des Plaines, along with a few large trees. One tree was blown down in the 700 block of Algonquin Road and another tree was blown down in the 2500 block of Scott Street.
23:40Z 65 MI Van Buren Toquin Trained spotters reported numerous trees and tree limbs and power lines down across mainly southern Van Buren county. Hail up to one inch in diameter was also reported. Two miles west of Lawrence there was a higher concentration of several dozen large healthy tree trunks snapped, uprooted, or large limbs snapped. Damage occurred to at least 3 residences due to fallen trees, one probably a total loss, another with significant roof damage. Cleanup was still ongoing 12 days after the storms struck. Just east of Hartford, hundreds of trees were scattered within approximately a 6 square-mile area with large limbs snapped, trunks snapped, or uprooted. Damage was centered in and near the Van Buren County Youth Fair. The Van Buren Historical Society Museum had damage to the back of the building due to fallen tree limbs.

23:51Z 83 IL Cook Bellwood A large section of the roof of an apartment building was peeled off, exposing numerous apartments at the corner of 24th Avenue and Washington Boulevard. Two people in the apartment building were injured. Wind gusts were estimated between 90 and 95 mph.

Many roads were blocked by fallen trees. Windows were blown out on the second floor of a vacant office building along Roosevelt Road, causing significant wind damage inside the second floor. Two apartment buildings along Westchester Boulevard had part of their roofs peeled back with debris blown down to the street. A three foot diameter soft wood tree nearby was uprooted. A garage was destroyed near Dickens Street and Newcastle Avenue after a large tree fell on it. Several houses suffered the loss of roof covering in the area of Mannheim Road and Waterford Drive. Wind speeds were estimated to 90 mph.

23:55Z 75 IL Cook North Riverside Extensive tree damage occurred on the west side of North Riverside, from west of 8th Avenue, southeast through the forest preserves near the Caledonia Senior Living Center. No damaged occurred to the center, but trees were damaged on its grounds and along its edges including damaged fences and access to the facility was blocked. Numerous trees were fully or partially blown down in the area near Komarek School.

The worst damage on the east side appeared to be concentrated between 23rd Street and Traube Street, particularly in the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Burr Oak Avenue and 2500 block of Hainsworth Avenue, where fallen trees blocked roadways.

Eight houses were damaged by falling trees, including homes in the 200 and 300 blocks of East Quincy Street. A large tree was uprooted and fell onto a house on Lawton Road, severely damaging the home. Utility poles and powerlines were also blown down. Numerous roads were blocked by fallen trees and tree limbs. Numerous trees were blown down onto the railroad tracks near the Riverside station.
23:56Z 70 IL Cook North Riverside A large tree from a residential backyard fell onto the wall of the Ames School gymnasium but did little to no damage. The tree fell onto part of the wall with no windows. The tree also fell onto a chain-link fence, which was damaged and fell onto a power line.

A handful of trees were blown down in Kiwanis Park, including an oak tree that snapped 15 feet from its base and landed on the concession stand next to Overholt Field.
23:57Z 70 IL Cook Hollywood A 64 year old man was seriously injured when a large tree limb crashed through his windshield near 31st Street and McCormick Avenue. The man was a resident of North Riverside and suffered multiple injuries including rib fractures, a fractured arm and wrist, a punctured lung and other internal injuries.

Tree damage was not widespread in Syracuse, but several tree limbs and trees were noted down across the city. The winds began to accelerate further as they moved off Lake Wawasee and just east of the NWS Northern Indiana office. One of the apartment complexes at Baypoint condos suffered roof damage as the winds caught a corner of the roof that was not properly anchored, causing loss of several pieces plywood and impacting 2 apartments with mainly water damage. The noted tree damage increased on the south side of North Webster and Webster Lake. While overall wind speeds of 60 to 70 mph were estimated, pockets of locally higher gusts likely occurred.

The damage continued southeast impacting the southwest portions of Fort Wayne and surrounding areas. The hardest hit areas extended from Aboite township into Indian Village and Waynedale. Tree and tree limb damage was extensive in some areas, causing difficulties in clearing of roadways and restoration of power as numerous power lines and poles were impacted either by the winds alone or falling trees and tree limbs. The Fox Island County Park area had to be closed for an extended period due to extensive tree damage on roads and paths. A 98 mph wind gust was recorded at the Fort Wayne Regional Airport. An 89 year old female was inside her home in the 5400 block of Mason Drive when a tree crashed into her home. She was severely injured by broken glass and passed away at a local hospital despite surgery to stop the bleeding early on the morning of June 14. The fatality was compounded by first responders being unable to reach her for an extended period of time due to the extensive tree and power line debris.

In Ellendale, many hardwood trees were snapped and others were uprooted, some falling onto homes. A home had almost all the shingles and much of the sheathing torn off the roof, and the garage door was collapsed inward. Some power poles were broken in town, and several power service lines to homes were torn. South of Ellendale to the South Dakota state line, multiple power poles were snapped. At the Ellendale Cemetery, multiple hardwood and softwood trees were snapped and others were uprooted. In parts of Ellendale, ping pong ball size hail accompanied the storm.
