18:04Z 65 OH Lawrence North Kenova A National Weather Service storm survey team found damage consistent with a microburst in South Point. The microburst began near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Roberts Drive where a couple large pine trees were uprooted. Scattered tree damage was found in a west-northwesterly direction from here for about a mile, ending on 2nd Street near the Ohio River. The worst damage was found on Williamson Street where several trees were snapped or uprooted, a fence was pushed over and a small metal outbuilding was tossed over 100 yards.

23:41Z 60 VA Roanoke Roanoke City Numerous trees and tree limbs, as well as power lines, were blown down by straight line thunderstorm winds in eastern Roanoke and around the community of Vinton. Siding panels from the Roanoke Times Newspaper office were blown down onto the street. One tree fell onto a parked car on Underhill Avenue. Damage was most concentrated along Shelbourne Avenue in Vinton, however damage was observed from Hardy Road to the Roanoke River, about a 3/4 mile wide swath. Winds picked up a metal shed on Shelbourne Avenue and blew it into a telephone pole. The damage resulted in a loss of commercial power to about 2000 customers in the east side of Roanoke County.
