17:15Z 87 AL Madison Molder Widespread tree damage was observed in the Killingsworth Cove area of eastern Madison county. A swath of trees at least 300 yards wide were snapped, beginning at the top of the hill just west of Smith Lake, down the hillside across Boulder Trail Road, Southard Road, and Killingsworth Cove Road to the shore of the lake. The trees on the hillside were snapped cleanly and almost entirely in the same direction downhill with a few exceptions. Several trees fell on homes along Killingsworth Cove Road. The swath of damage continued across the lake to JB Hawkins Road and Killingsworth Cove Road. The swath of daamge continued across the lake to JB Hawkins Road and Killingsworth Cover, but no further damage was observed or accessible east of this location.

Numerous trees, tree limbs and power lines were blown down in Bridgeton, Hazelwood, Florissant, Ferguson, Spanish Lake, and Glasgow Village. In Spanish Lake, a bus stop bench was blown into the street and a small shed was blown over. In Glasgow Village, a large tree was blown over onto a house, destroying it. Fortunately no one was home at the time and the family dogs were in the basement and unharmed. Another home in the area had a large portion of a tree fall on it, crashing through the roof and ceiling of the dining room and bedroom. The occupants in the house made it to the basement just in time before the tree fell over. No injuries were reported.

Some of the power outages lasted through the following day. The peak wind gust at the National Weather Service at Barkley Regional Airport was 62 mph.

A 67-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle due to a fallen tree on Highway 121 near County Road 1031 (indirect fatality).
