04:05Z 87 ND Grand Forks Grand Forks Widespread downburst winds impacted areas of Grand Forks and Walle townships. Isolated large tree limbs and branches were snapped across a broad area, indicating widespread winds approaching 60 to 80 mph. A narrow corridor of more extreme damage was noted over a ten block area of south central Grand Forks, with numerous snapped or uprooted trees, indicating peak winds near 100 mph.

04:10Z 91 MN Polk East Grand Forks Widespread downburst winds impacted areas of Grand Forks and Huntsville townships. Isolated large tree branches and limbs were broken down across a broad area indicating widespread wind gusts of from 60 to 80 mph. More extreme damage was noted in east central portions of town where six empty grain cars were blown over and several large trees were snapped or uprooted, suggesting peak winds of up to 105 mph.

Also, the destruction of a liquid fertilizer pump shed caused damage to pipes creating a 5000 gallon plus chemical spill.
