A hangar at the municipal airport was damaged and a fabric covered plane that was inside the hangar was damaged extensively. Downed trees briefly blocked the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. Hundreds of trees were reported to have been blown down across town and several homes near the airport were damaged by the fallen trees.

14:19Z 78 WI Lafayette Ipswich Three pole barns and one small barn all located southwest of Belmont suffered severe damage with the lost of the roofs and some walls collapsed. Large trees uprooted and snapped in Belmont. Trees down on one house causing severe roof damage and a couple mobile homes suffering minor damage from fallen trees or the high winds. Scattered trees and power lines were reported down throughout the remainder of the county.
14:20Z 61 WI Grant Platteville Several trees were blown down in Platteville by an estimated 70 mph wind gust. The roof was blown off the dairy barn and another barn had a 100 square foot hole in the roof on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. Several of the downed trees landed on houses and a church. Power was not restored to downtown Platteville until after 5 p.m.
