12:00Z 65 WI Rock Orfordville Law enforcement officials in Rock County reported trees and power lines down in a 23-mile wide swath from west northwest of Orfordville to northeast of Clinton due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 65 knots (75 mph). Corn crops, valued at $700,000, were also flattened. A home in downtown Janesville had a bedroom addition crushed when a tree fell on it. The winds also blew down a barn on Creek Road where it crosses Turtle Creek, as well as a giant 22-foot, 2,000 pound fiberglass pumpkin off of a 65-foot tall silo at Meyer's Farm Market north of Janesville.
12:00Z 61 IL Winnebago North Park A semi-truck was overturned in Loves Park on Perryville Road between Harlem Road and Mulford Road. State Street was closed from 9th Street to Division after a large tree was blown down taking down power lines. Rockford Park District reported that 25 parks and facilities sustained some type of storm damage, mostly from fallen trees.
12:00Z 56 WI Dane Daleyville The Dane County Emergency Manager reported trees and power lines down in a 10-mile wide swath from near Daleyville to north of Albion due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 56 knots (64 mph). Corn crops, valued at $300,000, were also flattened. A home in Belleville suffered roof damage when a tree fell on it.

12:05Z 60 IL Winnebago Harlem High winds blew down several power lines along Alpine Road just north of East Riverside Boulevard.

12:17Z 75 IL Boone Poplar Grove Over 30 large trees were reported down in the Poplar Grove and Candlewick Lake area, including one tree that fell onto a house on Bounty Drive in Candlewick Lake and a tree that fell onto a car in Poplar Grove. Also in Poplar Grove, a roof was blown off of a house and a garage was destroyed.
12:20Z 65 IL De Kalb De Kalb Trees were snapped at the base just south of Route 38 on Annie Glidden Road. Corn was flattened in areas surrounding De Kalb.
12:24Z 52 MI Kent Jennison Severe thunderstorm wind gusts of around 60 mph blew a large tree onto a house that did significant damage to the roof and second floor five miles east northeast of Hudsonville. Trees also fell onto a trailer in Kent City.
12:28Z 61 IL De Kalb Waterman Winds estimated to 70 mph caused several trees to snap. One large oak tree fell onto a house and car, but damage to property was minimal. The press box at DeKalb High School was blown over. The building was secured by pilings set in concrete, which were pulled out of the ground. Power lines were downed near Normal Road and 10th Street. A tree limb fell onto a home and damaged the gas meter. Portions of a corn field were flattened in Waterman.

12:35Z 56 IL Kane La Fox Winds to 65 mph were measured with an anemometer. A tree was blown down on Beith Road.

12:40Z 65 IL Mchenry Crystal Lake Winds estimated to more than 70 mph lasted for two to three minutes causing 1-foot diameter trees and large branches to blow over as well as power outages. Large limbs fell through the windshield of a car at an intersection on Dole Avenue.
12:40Z 70 WI Walworth Delavan Local newspapers reported trees and power lines down in and around the town of Delavan due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 70 knots (80 mph). The severe wind gusts felled 40 trees and damaged roofs and gutters on buildings at Lake Lawn Resort on the northeast side of Delavan Lake.
12:40Z 56 WI Jefferson Busseyville Law enforcement officials reported trees and power lines down in an 8-mile wide swath from near Busseyville to north of Palmyra due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 56 knots (64 mph). Corn crops were also blown down by the damaging winds.
12:45Z 50 IL Kane Mooseheart Deerpath Road just west of Batavia was closed due to several power poles hanging over roadways. An power pole on North Kirk Road was also leaning over the roadway.
12:45Z 56 WI Walworth Tibbet Law enforcement officials reported trees and power lines down in a 5-mile wide swath from northeast of Tibbets to east of Elkhorn due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 60 knots (69 mph). Corn crops were also blown down by the damaging winds. Two county salt storage sheds off of County Highway NN in Elkhorn were also severely damaged by the thunderstorm gusts.Winds caused the paneling of one shed to collapse into the structure. The roof of the other shed was lifted from it's foundation, damaging electrical utilities attached to it and adjacent buildings before settling back down. Officials estimate it will cost $800,000 to repair the sheds. Trees also toppled over onto the Lauderdale Lakes Management district's community center on the corner of Sterlingworth Drive and U.S. Highway 12.

12:50Z 56 WI Kenosha Salem Law enforcement officials reported trees down in the town of Salem due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 56 knots (64 mph).

At Arlington Park Race Track, 4 to 6 inch diameter branches were blown down. Numerous trees and power lines were also down across the area. There was a report of a window blown out of a house.

13:00Z 55 IL Cook Prospect Hgts Large branches fell onto a parked car in northwest Prospect Heights causing moderate damage including a shattered back window.
13:00Z 56 WI Waukesha Dousman Local newspapers reported trees down southwest of Dousman due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 56 knots (64 mph). A motorcyclist was injured when he had to lay down his bike to avoid a downed tree across the road. The wind sensor at the National Weather Service office recorded a peak wind gust of 54 mph (47 knots).
13:00Z 61 IL Lake Libertyville Telephone lines were blown down along with large trees in Prairie View. A roof was blown off.

13:05Z 55 IL Cook Franklin Park A large tree limb fell onto a roof on the 8600 block of Center Street damaging portions of the roof and awning.

13:08Z 55 IL Cook Harwood Hgts A tree approximately two feet in diameter fell onto a moving vehicle causing heavy damage to the car. The incident occurred near the 4900 block of North Austin Avenue. No injuries were reported.

13:10Z 65 IL Cook Western Spgs Strong winds ripped a couple roofs off of buildings in the industrial area of Bedford Park. A parapet wall on another building was heavily damaged with bricks falling onto the sidewalk below. Three cars were damaged by falling trees and limbs.

A semi was overturned near the intersection of 65th Street and Menard Avenue. Fences and 10-inch diameter branches were blown down. Large trees were reported down near Midway Airport. Sheet metal and shingles were torn off roofs. Power lines and poles were blown down, including one pole that fell onto a house in Burbank. Winds were estimated to 65 mph in Hometown.
13:12Z 53 WI Kenosha Downtown Kenosha Local newspapers reported a dozen trees down in the city of Kenosha due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts measured at 53 knots (61 mph). The strong wind gusts were responsible for delays on several Metra railroad lines, as well as the Union Pacific rail that runs from Kenosha to Chicago.

13:20Z 55 IL Cook Brighton Park A 72 year old man was driving on the 3000 block of West Ogden Avenue when a tree limb fell through the sunroof of his car striking the man. The man died in the hospital during the afternoon of July 12th.
13:21Z 60 IL Cook Beverly Hills A mature tree was blown over, crushing the front end of a car on the 9900 block of South Bell Avenue. Another tree fell onto a roof of a home on the 10600 block of South Hoyne Avenue. This tree damaged the roof of the home, a fence, a porch railing, and a concrete slab.
13:25Z 56 WI Waukesha Downtown Waukesha A trained spotter reported many trees down in a 5-mile wide swath from southwest of Waukesha to Elm Grove. Several bikes were damaged by falling tree branches at Frame Park in Waukesha. A building was severely damaged by the winds at Sunset Drive and Chapman on the southwest side of Waukesha. The damage was due to damaging thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 56 knots (64 mph).

14:00Z 61 IL Stephenson Freeport Numerous reports of trees and power lines down across the county. The Stephenson County Highway Department salt storage bin was destroyed during the storm.
14:00Z 70 MI Ottawa Ottawa Beach Radar data corroborated with ground truth reports indicates that a significant bow echo came onshore in Holland at 10:25 a.m. A storm chaser estimated that it produced wind gusts of up to 80 mph. Numerous reports of trees and power lines were received from in and near Holland and radar data indicates additional wind damage was likely east northeast to Zeeland and Jenison. The storm blew through Jenison at 10:45 a.m.

14:10Z 53 MI Berrien (beh)ross Arpt Bntn The ASOS at the Benton Harbor airport recorded a 53 knot (61 mph) wind gust.
14:10Z 70 MI Van Buren Forest Dunes The Van Buren county sheriff's department reported numerous areas of tree damage countywide in addition to widespread power outages across the southern half of the county. Some of the harder hit areas included Mattawan, Lawton and Hartford. In fact 20 to 25 pine trees were blown down on one property just northeast of Lawton. A trained spotter reported a roof was blown off a ballfield dugout and cinder blocks were blown 30 feet, also in Lawton.

14:16Z 70 MI Allegan Cedar Bluff A bow echo raced east across Allegan county during the late morning hours, bringing down numerous trees and power lines in areas including the city of Allegan and several miles south of Holland. Radar data suggests that downed trees were likely countywide.

A trained spotter reported a measured wind gust of 71 mph in Schoolcraft. The public report lots of tree damage in and near Portage. Radar data suggests that downed trees were likely countywide.

14:50Z 65 MI Barry Orangeville A bow echo raced east across Barry county during the late morning hours, bringing down scattered trees countywide.

14:57Z 70 MI Kent Byron Center Radar data indicates the northern end of a strong bow echo moved east into southwestern Kent county at 10:45 a.m. and raced east northeast producing significant wind damage and exited far east central Kent county near Lowell at around 11:10 a.m. Numerous trees and power lines were blown down and uprooted in and near towns including Cutlerville, Wyoming and Kentwood.||A 38 year old man was killed inside his garage along 68th street SE in Cutlerville when wind gusts of up to 80 mph ripped a large tree and its roots out of the ground and toppling it onto the garage, splitting it in half. In addition, a woman suffered minor injuries when a tree fell on her home in Cutlerville.
