The winds caused damage to power lines and poles, both directly and from wind blown debris, with a resulting power outage in most of Wentworth.

Damage to the city's electrical system alone was later estimated at $125,000.

21:22Z 87 MN Redwood Milroy A long-lived and complex storm moved into western Redwood County around 322 PM CST, and moved northeast across mainly the northern 1/3 of the county before moving into portions of far southeast Yellow Medicine County and western Renville County. ||Several hundred trees were either snapped or uprooted along with damage to several outbuildings and large grain storage bins. There were also reported areas of crops destroyed but either the wind or hail. Based on the damage reports and radar imagery, wind speeds were likely sustained above 70 to 90 mph, (isolated 100 mph wind gusts) for 10 to 15 minutes in any given location as the storm traversed the county.

Crop damage has been estimated at nearly 20,000 acres destroyed in Renville County alone.

Damage included power lines, railroad crossing gates, personal property and trees. One injury occurred as a parade and other activities were happening during the onset of the storm near Coon Rapids. The main damage occurred from near Nowthen, east and southeast to Oak Grove, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Fridley, and Spring Lake Park.

In a large portion of St. Croix State Park there was 75 to 100 percent tree damage. There were no visitors at the park at the time due to a state government shutdown.

03:30Z 65 MI Houghton Osceola The Calumet Golf Club sustained tree damage. Several oak trees approximately one-foot in diameter were snapped. Several pine tree branches six inches in diameter were broken off. A one-foot diameter pine tree was also uprooted. Trees all fell to the northeast.

Garage was shifted one inch off of foundation. Garage door and damaged windows were on the windward side of house facing the southwest.

The damage path was oriented from southwest to northeast and estimated to be one-quarter mile wide. Metal building housing a travel trailer destroyed. Several trees estimated to be between 18 to 24 inches in diameter were uprooted. A drill shop roof near the elementary school sustained significant damage.
03:30Z 65 MI Houghton Calumet Approximately 2-foot diameter pine tree was uprooted in the backyard of a house on Rockland Street. The tree was lying in a north-northeast direction. Time of the report was estimated from radar.

03:30Z 61 WI La Crosse Onalaska An estimated 70 mph wind gust snapped off and uprooted numerous trees along the shoreline of Lake Onalaska. Numerous other trees were either uprooted or snapped off along Well Street between Oak and 11th Avenues in Onalaska. Also, a 100 year old maple tree went down on top of a house damaging the roof.

The trees ranged from 6 to 18 inches in diameter and fell in the same general direction. Several of the trees fell across Highway M-26 closing the highway.
