Roofs of buildings in the area were damaged as well. A tree was blown down onto a roof of one of the buildings.

05:30Z 78 MS Monroe Prairie Straight line winds knocked down trees in Prairie. An outbuilding that was bolted to concrete footers was ripped off of its foundation and thrown into the trees south of Aberdeen. One of the footers was also lodged 30 feet high in a tree.

06:45Z 56 LA St. Landry Plaquemine Pt An NWS Storm Survey found an area of minor wind damage along Montgomery Road northwest of the Bellevue community. A few trees and large tree limbs were blown down, with minor skirting and siding damage to some mobile homes.
06:45Z 59 LA St. Landry Plaquemine Pt A storm chaser measured a wind gust of 68 mph and reported large tree limbs down. This was estimated to be in the same area as the wind damage along Montgomery Road.

08:15Z 52 MS Simpson Magee Muni Arpt Trees were down partially blocking Highway 13 just north of the Highway 28 intersection.
08:45Z 43 AL Madison Madison Trees down on Gillespie Road.
09:16Z 70 MS Newton Roberts A storm survey indicated that intense straight line winds, around 80 mph, downed numerous trees southwest of Newton. A roof was also blown off of a pump station.
09:25Z 52 MS Pike Mc Comb Thunderstorm winds knocked several trees down in the Apache Drive area, as well as near Sinclair and Louisiana Avenues. Wind also blew down a tree onto a house. Power was knocked out to about 2500 customers in the McComb area.
