The first reports of hail came from Syracuse, Nebraska, where half-dollar sized hail fell. Severe hail continued to fall as the storm crossed the county line into Cass County. The Otoe County Emergency Manager reported golf ball sized hail just south of the County line. About a mile west of this, a 2 inch hailstone was reported by the public.
