The storm entered western Hamlin county.

The large hail and strong winds caused extensive damage to homes, outbuildings, vehicles, and especially crops. Thousands of acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat were damaged or destroyed across Hamlin county. Also, many trees and gardens were damaged by the hail and high winds.
