The most severe damage was to a 70 year old home where most of the roof was caved in. Here, a 9 year old boy sheltered in a bathtub during the tornado and was unharmed. The tornado was rated EF-1 with a path length of 2.96 miles and a maximum path width of 100 yards. |

It crossed I-72 about three quarters of a mile east of exit 60. Damage from this tornado was mainly confined to tree branches along its path, but it produced minor roof damage to a farm outbuilding along south Finch Road and destroyed an open-air farm outbuilding along Massey View Road. The tornado ended just north of the Diamond Grove Cemetery. |

Most of the damage associated with this tornado occurred in Morgan County, but some flattened crops were noted in Scott County. |

The tornado continued northeast through a field for approximately 0.4 miles before lifting. |

It tracked northeast for 3.6 miles and was on the ground for eight minutes, with the most prolific damage being rated EF-1. The tornado damaged numerous trees, a power company outbuilding, and caused roofing damage to multiple residences on the northwest side of Jacksonville. It then struck an outdoor sports complex, causing substantial damage to the middle portion of an outbuilding, shredding outdoor baseball netting, and strewing sheet metal and other debris to the northeast through the fields. The tornado continued through open fields for several miles before producing additional damage to trees, outbuildings, and residences along Baldwin and Sandusky Roads, immediately southwest of the Jacksonville Airport. It continued northeast through the northwest corner of the Jacksonville Airport property before damaging some trees along Zimmer Road and lifting. |

From there, it tracked generally to the northeast for over 6.7 miles over the course of 12 minutes. The next notable area of damage occurred along Substation Road, as well as to a property along Sorrill Road north of the intersection of Substation and Sorrill Roads. On Substation Road, wooden power poles were snapped. At the Sorrill Road property, numerous outbuildings were completely destroyed, uplift of roofing occurred on a house, and heavy farm equipment was displaced or mangled. This area was assigned a damage rating of EF-2. The tornado continued northeast for several more miles, crossing Benson Road near Indiana Creek where it damaged trees. The tornado passed about 0.9 miles east of Literberry and continued northeast, flattening corn in the fields before lifting east of Gray Road just to the south of the Morgan-Cass county line. |

It crossed the highway at Kern Road and widened to about 50 yards as it continued northeast through farm fields. The tornado damaged a farm outbuilding and dented two grain silos at the intersection of Hog Barn Road and Buelah Road before continuing northeast through additional farm fields. A woman suffered a dislocated shoulder when winds associated with the tornado tossed her against her house. It damaged a few hardwood trees, then dissipated just north of Donnan Lane near the Morgan-Sangamon county line. The tornado was rated EF-1. |

It snapped several large trees at a farmstead along north Pleasant Plains Road. As it continued along its path, it tossed a pair of grain bins across Watts Road and produced tree damage near Claysville. It continued through fields to the northeast, eventually crossing into Menard County where it produced minor damage to trees and structures west and dissipated northwest of Loyd. The tornado had a peak intensity rating of EF-1. |

It produced EF-1 damage in both Sangamon and Menard counties. |

No damage was reported in either county, so an intensity rating could not be assigned. |

The tornado continued for 1.3 miles before dissipating north of Newmansville Avenue. No damage was reported in either county, so a damage intensity rating could not be assigned. |

One storm briefly produced a tornado in northwestern Anne Arundel County Maryland, in southern Odenton.||At 2:15 PM EDT, a tornado touched down in the community of Chapel Village, just south of the southern end of Chapel Hill Boulevard. There, along the north edge of a water retention pond, it uprooted two trees. It continued southeast and crossed the 800 block of Sunny Chapel Road. Here is where the damage was most intense. Three homes had siding and shingle damage. Behind one of the homes, numerous trees were uprooted and large sections of trees snapped. At least two trees fell onto homes, and one crushed an outdoor deck. Damage on the north side of the path was blown to the south, and damage on the south side of the path was blown to the north-northeast.||The tornado proceeded southeast, and crossed the southern cul-de-sac of Golden Chapel Road. There it damaged shingles and siding on three additional homes, blew out the attic window on two homes, and uprooted three more trees and snapped large branches. The first road it crossed was LeRoy Road, just south of Depot Road, at which point it completely destroyed two farm outbuildings and snapped trees. The tornado continued northeast through fields before damage trees along Prairie Chapel Road and lifting just northeast of the intersection of Prairie Chapel Road and Rosewood Road. The tornado began near the northwest corner of OH Route 163 and Elliston Trowbridge Road before damaging a metal outbuilding and destroying a grain silo. After the tornado crossed Elliston Trowbridge Road, it damaged the roof of a residence and snapped a couple trees. Debris settled in a field beyond the residence before the tornado dissipated before reaching Graytown Road. |

As the tornado continued to move east-northeastward, it downed additional tree branches along Genzman Road and then removed a portion of a small barn's roof before the tornado dissipated. |

As the tornado progressed east-northeastward, it crossed Derussey Road, Wakeman Townline Road, Ogan Road, Fitchville River Road, West River Road, North River Street, Lincoln Road, and Butler Road before entering Lorain County near the Firelands Boy Scout Reservation. |

The tornado continued east towards Fall Branch Road, doing damage to trees. Mobile home roof damage also occurred and shifted the home off its foundation. The tornado then moved east over a heavily wooded area, crossing over Ugly Creek Road and eventually Blue Buck Creek Road. Here the tornado caused damage to a residence and snapped and uprooted numerous trees before crossing over a ridge top. The tornado weakened thereafter with only tree branches observed on She Boss Road and Old Trace Road. Damages are a rough estimate. |
