22:12Z EF2 KGLD KS Cheyenne St Francis Arpt Tornado formed south of farmstead near River Road, made a glancing blow to the farmstead, then continued NNW toward Hwy 36. Power poles were broken, a well established cotton wood tree was uprooted, and a well anchored antenna was twisted and bent by the tornado. Another farmstead north of CR M was also impacted by the tornado. The tornado removed the roof and doors from a metal building, relocated a couple grain bins, and leveled a wooden shed. However the tornado turned away from house before continuing north through the windbreak. The tornado ended before reaching the highway.
22:15Z EFU KGLD KS Sherman Kanorado Arpt An off duty NWS Employee reported a tornado roughly 7 miles north of Kanorado. Pictures of a funnel and a dust swirl was also passed along as well. No damage occurred.
22:19Z EF2 KDYX TX Shackelford Albany A severe thunderstorm moved across eastern portions of Shackelford|County late Sunday afternoon which produced a brief tornado about|6 miles northeast of Albany, Texas, near County Road 109. The|Shackelford County Sheriff sent photos of damage to several|utility poles as well as damage to trees. Time of the tornado |touching down is based on radar. The estimated maximum peak wind |speed was 115 mph.
22:21Z EF1 KDDC TX Hemphill Glazier The tornado started near County Road 30 on the very eastern edge of Hemphill County and quickly intensified as it crossed onto property where it produced damage to several buildings and a home. The home sustained some roofing damage and the back corner of the house had a partial uplift of the roof deck. Additional storage buildings were damaged including shed doors blown off and roofs and siding damaged. Several trees were uprooted in the yard. A cattle wind break was partially torn from the ground. The tornado then crossed into Ellis County Oklahoma (NWS Norman forecast area), where it snapped a few tree limbs on E690. The tornado then crossed an open field and the last noted damage was along NS1690 where some large branches were snapped. Based on storm spotter footage and survey, it appears the tornado lifted shortly thereafter. The tornado was rated an EF1 based on the house damage and the tree damage. The entire track length was around 1.6 miles. The maximum estimated winds were 95mph.
22:22Z EF0 KDDC OK Ellis Arnett This tornado moved into Ellis County from Hemphill County TX crossing the state line just south of Texas Farm-to-Market Road 2758 and Oklahoma County Road E0690. A storm survey by the NWS Office in Amarillo observed tree damage along E0690 Road just east of the Texas state line, and along County Road N1690 south of E0680 Road. The tornado dissipated very closer to E0680 Road about 250 yards west of N1690 Road.||Geolocation of drone footage of the tornado from the OTUS (Observations of Tornadoes by UAV Systems) Research team showed that while the tornado moved generally northeast, numerous variations in the motion occurred.||This tornado was rated EF1 based on damage in Hemphill County TX, but only EF0 damage could be confirmed in Oklahoma.
22:35Z EF2 KGLD KS Scott Scott State Park Tornado began just south of W Road 270 in northern Scott County. The tornado tracked northward toward the Scott Wildlife Area where damage was observed to trees, including snapped trunks and a total destruction of an outbuilding. The tornado continued north into Logan County.
22:37Z EF2 KGLD KS Scott Modoc Tornado began just south of State Highway 96, southwest of Modoc. The tornado traveled northeast and immediately snapped power poles along the highway. As it continued northeastward, some train cars were toppled just west of town. To the north end of Modoc, a mobile home had its roof ripped off. As the tornado continued tracking northeastward in open fields, it continued producing sporadic damage to power lines, a home, and pivot irrigation systems. The tornado dissipated just north of W Road 200.
22:41Z EF3 KDDC OK Ellis Arnett This tornado began near the intersection of E0630 Road and N1760 Road, breaking four power poles and damaging trees. It moved east-northeast along E0630 Road with extensive tree damage noted just east of N1770 Road. The tornado then turned more northeast and moved over open country. For much of the path, there were few if any damage indicators, but drone imagery from surveys by the National Severe Storms Laboratory and Disaster Imaging Inc, as well as visual sightings of the tornado confirms that this tornado was continuous along this 5 mile path. Additional tree damage was noted along E0620 Road as the tornado continued moving northeast, with the most severe damage along N1810 road about one-half mile south of E0610 Road where trees were partially debarked and only stubs of large limbs were left. The tornado was rated EF3 based on this severe tree damage. Near the end of the track, the tornado appeared to be at its most intense as it turned north with more extensive tree damage along E0610 Road on the western edge of the city of Arnett. A large shipping container was also displaced 175 feet at this location. This tornado turned northwest and dissipated just west of Arnett near US Highway 60.||Researchers with the National Severe Storms Laboratory, the University of Oklahoma, and the OTUS (Observation of Tornadoes by UAS Systems) Project collected detailed datasets during the tornado as well as performing detailed damage surveys.

This tornado destroyed oil an oil battery near Little Jerusalem Park, and damaged items at the park entrance that were bolted into concrete. Strength taken from DDC survey. Track estimated from rotation on radar, arial photos, and the few damage reports that were received.
22:56Z EF0 KDDC OK Ellis Arnett Immediately after the EF3 tornado dissipated west of Arnett, video from an off-duty Storm Prediction Center employee observed an anticyclonic tornado looking south from the intersection of County Roads E0620 and N1810. The tornado was brief, and the specific location is estimated.
22:58Z EF1 KDDC OK Ellis Arnett After the EF3 tornado dissipated just west of Arnett, another tornado developed just northwest of Arnett and moved northeast. Trees and an oil field building were damaged by this tornado.
23:09Z EFU KGLD KS Scott Scott State Park Emergency Manager observed and reported tornado. No damage reported or observed. Crossed Road 270.
23:32Z EF3 KGLD KS Gove Campus A significant tornado developed south-southwest of Grinnell west of the CR S and 22 intersection, then moved north-northeast across I-70 and over the western four blocks of the town of Grinnell before dissipating in a wheatfield north of the Grinnell Cow Paddy Golf Club. The tornado caused damage to farmstead at CR X and 26, and east of the CR Z and 26 intersection. Damage included moving round bales, leveling wooden sheds, pushing farm equipment and vehicles, and breaking large tree limbs. Roughly 40 houses in Grinnell were damaged or destroyed, along with quonsets or other sheds. Notable damage included moving a house roughly four inches off the foundation, debris piercing the grain bins on the north side of town, causing thousands of bushels of grain to spill out, complete destruction of a house built in the 1800s, and moving a couple graveside head stones a couple hundred yards.
23:47Z EF0 KDYX TX Eastland Morton Vly An EF-0 tornado began just southwest of the intersection of Highway 112 and County Road 331 near the city of Morton Valley. Tree damage was observed along Highway 112, County Road 331, and County Road 334 where large 4 to 5 inch tree branches were snapped. A house sustained some minor tree damage at the intersection of County Road 332 and Highway 112, and minor tree damage was observed along Highway 183, but all of this damage was determined to be RFD straight-line wind damage. Maximum estimated winds were 80 mph.
23:49Z EF0 KGLD NE Hitchcock Stratton A storm chaser relayed that a satellite tornado from the main tornado to the north crossed Highway 34 along with flipping a pivot.
23:49Z EF3 KGLD NE Hitchcock Stratton The tornado touched down south of Muddy creek where it tore shingles off of a house. The tornado then traveled to the north and crossed Road 714. As it crossed the road it completely removed a metal machine shed, which included pulling bolts through the concrete foundation. The structure was tossed roughly 50 yards to the north. Other notable damage at this location included leveling two buildings at an old farmstead, pushing a combine roughly 60 feet, tipping over an empty grain cart into a grain truck, pushing a drill backward in the shape of a quarter circle, and then scattering seven empty cattle feeders feeders in a line going north into a wheat field. ||The tornado continued north to CR 717 where it damaged trees and grain bins, broke a power pole, and blew a stock tank over a hundred yards at a homestead. The tornado then turned northeast crossing 12th Ave and CR 720 causing damage to trees, pivots, or structures. It then turned back north after passing the CR 720 and Veteran's Highway intersection. It continued along Veteran's Highway, breaking off 30 power poles before ending just south of a homestead between CR 723 and CR722. ||The path north of CR 714 is estimated based on radar imagery and connecting the points of the tornado damage that was surveyed.

00:04Z EFU KGLD NE Hitchcock Palisade Rich Arpt High resolution satellite imagery showed the path of a satellite tornado that moved northwest across a field northwest of the intersection of 12th Ave. and Drive 350. No damage was reported from this tornado. This tornado occurred during the longer lived EF 3 tornado that moved north through the county.
00:07Z EF3 KGLD KS Sheridan Angelus The same supercell which produced Grinnell tornado produced another EF3 tornado in Sheridan County, which led to damage to portions of a homestead. The worst damage was broken bolts and metal brackets of a metal frame that was bolted into concrete. The tornado also removed the roof from a barn nearby, as well as leveling a cinderblock garage and removing/destroying wooden and metal grain bins. The tornado started just northwest of CR 110 S and 40W based on Sentinel satellite data, crossed CR 90 S and 80 S, then lifted just northwest of County Road 406 and CR 20 W intersection based on the same Sentinel data as well.
00:08Z EF2 KGLD KS Sheridan Angelus Based on damage and satellite footage, a second corridor of damage occurred northwest of the homestead. The damage tracks of the two tornadoes merge at the end point of this tornado. This tornado twisted a pivot, broke several power poles, and removed tree tops from the west edge of the windbreak.
00:21Z EF0 KDDC KS Edwards Kinsley Muni Arpt Fairly short-lived tornado. Video of tornado from KAKE chaser Cameron Venable as it was crossing or just after crossing US-50. Just some minor tree damage and one small farm outbuilding. Total path length of nearly 4.0 miles and peak winds of at least 85 mph (EF0).
00:35Z EF2 KGLD NE Hayes Hayes Center Tornado touched down in pastureland destroying a windmill and numerous trees. The tornado then tracked to the north northeast over the next 34 minutes destroying outbuildings at a farmstead and feed lot and overturning several center pivot irrigation systems. Numerous power poles were also snapped by the tornado before dissipating south of Dickens Nebraska.
00:36Z EF1 KDYX TX Palo Pinto Mingus A brief EF-1 tornado with maximum wind speeds of 105 mph occurred north of Mingus on the evening of May 18th. Tree damage was noted along Dairy Farm Road, with the most significant tree damage observed on a private property. Very large pecan trees were uprooted, with a few large trunks snapped. Many other large branches and small trunks were snapped across the property. Sheet metal was also ripped off of a metal shed on the northern edge of the property.
00:38Z EF2 KDDC KS Edwards Lewis The tornado began between I and H road near 170th avenue, moving north before curving slightly west crossing highway 56 and dissipating and dissipating around 2 miles northwest of Garfield. Trees were uprooted, irrigation pivots were flipped, power lines and poles were damages and Tree trunks were snapped.
00:48Z EF1 KDYX TX Palo Pinto Gordon An EF-1 tornado formed north of Gordon and moved south-southeast into Gordon. One property near FM 919 and Harlin Road sustained damage to a small building on the property and 2 barns. In the town of Gordon, notable tree damage and power pole damage was observed along with damage to roofs. Most of the roof damage was partial removal of metal panels, leaving some homes with holes in their roofs. The school stadium and nearby athletic fields also suffered significant damage to the locker rooms, weight room, bleachers, scoreboards, and more. One tall stadium light pole was bent in half. In the southeast part of Gordon, a manufactured home was destroyed. In Gordon is where the tornado received its strongest rating of EF-1 with 105 mph winds. The tornado was tracked through tree damage just outside of Gordon to the southeast where it dissipated. Several minor injuries were reported with 4 hospital transports, but all 4 were already released the next morning.

01:01Z EF0 KFWS TX Palo Pinto Santo Storm chaser and spotter videos of a rapidly cyclic, multi-vortex tornado was confirmed by scattered tree damage along a path that stretched from Panama Road southwest of Santo to FM 4 south of Santo. For the most part, each of the vortices were relatively shorted-lived, lasting from just a few seconds to up to 30 seconds. At one point, two vortices near FM 4 appeared to nearly rotate around each other before they dissipated. Based on the observed tree damage, this tornado was rated an EF-0 multi-vortex tornado with maximum estimated winds of 80 mph.
01:07Z EFU KFWS TX Palo Pinto Santo Right after the multi-vortex tornado south of Santo, chaser videos showed an additional, larger tornado forming east of FM 4. Damage from this tornado was not found. This tornado will be rated an EF-Unknown, and its location is estimated based on radar and video.
01:36Z EF0 KFWS TX Parker Dennis An EF-0 tornado with maximum wind speeds of 85 mph moved east along Gilbert Pit Road and Cougar Road in southwestern Parker County, with snapped large limbs observed along both of these roads. A barn was also destroyed along Gilbert Pit Road near the start of the track. Based on the observed damage and assessment of radar data, the tornado took a sharp northwest turn, causing some tree damage further north on Gilbert Pit Rd, with several large limbs and small trunks split and snapped on the Hill Cemetery property where the tornado likely dissipated.
02:21Z EF3 KDDC KS Comanche Coldwater First tornado of this prolific cyclic supercell with the vortex starting in far northern Comanche County KS and then traveling north-northeast for over 8 miles before ending around 7 miles southeast of Mullinville KS in Kiowa County KS. Maximum width of almost a half mile with peak winds of at least 155 mph (EF3). ||A farm grain cart was tossed/tumbled at least 100 yards, Total destruction of a metal building system. Trees debarked with only stubs of largest branches remaining. Electrical transmission lines were damaged.
02:44Z EF3 KDDC KS Kiowa Greensburg A NWS storm survey confirmed reports of a tornado. Some damage included broken power poles, tree trunk snaped, an irrigation pivot broken and tossed.
03:04Z EF3 KDDC KS Kiowa Brenham A NWS storm survey confirmed reports of a tornado with damage including snapped power poles, debarked trees, tossed irrigation pivots, and other damage.
03:09Z EF0 KUEX NE Fillmore Shickley This short path tornado rapidly developed near the Salem Mennonite Church located southeast of Shickley, as seen by minor damage to the church grounds and to nearby center irrigation pivot systems. The tornado traveled north along or just west of Road 9, causing minor tree damage before lifting a mile or so north of Highway 74. The peak wind was estimated to be 70 MPH, based on the combination of the tree and pivot damage.
03:14Z EF1 KDDC KS Kiowa Brenham Short-lived satellite tornado off of the larger main votex farther east. Total path just under 3 miles and width no more than 50 yards with peak winds of 90 mph.
03:26Z EF1 KNQA MS De Soto Hernando A short-lived and narrow EF-1 tornado with 95 mph winds touched down on Thousand Oaks Drive between Oak Bridge Drive and Jaybird Road. Damage consisted of uprooted and snapped trees in this area. The tornado dissipated east of Jaybird.
03:47Z EF3 KDDC KS Pratt Cullison Upon reported possible tornado damage, a NWS storm survey determined there was a tornado that shredded trees and down numerous powerlines. There was also complete destruction of a small metal building.
04:09Z EFU KVNX KS Pratt Iuka A storm chaser captured a small satellite tornado off of the large Pratt tornado with pictures and video. No damage was reported or found.
04:17Z EF3 KVNX KS Pratt Natrona Public and storm chasers reported a tornado. A survey determined that a swath of damage was due to the tornado. Some damage included striped trees, broken power poles, a destroyed metal building, and large roof damage to a residential building. The tornado began in Pratt county before moving into Stafford county and then continued into ICT's CWA.
04:35Z EF3 KICT KS Reno Turon Based on the NWS storm survey, the tornado started in Pratt County then went into Stafford County before entering western Reno County. The total track of the tornado was around 32 miles with 21 of those in Reno County. A peak of EF3 damage was found with estimated winds of 155 mph occurring in Stafford and Pratt counties. In Reno County, the peak estimated winds were 145 mph based on a brick exterior home that had all of the exterior walls removed except long entryway. One portion of an interior wall remained. The maximum width was around one mile. This tornado damaged multiple homes to varying degrees in the town of Plevna with damage ranging from EF0 to EF2. Then the torando tracked northeast before going northwest prior to dissipating.
05:51Z EFU KUEX NE Howard St Paul This tornado was seen by local storm spotters approximately four miles west-northwest of St. Paul, who took a brief video of the tornado. No damage was documented with this tornado.
