00:10Z EF2 KOHX TN Jackson Center Grove This EF-2 tornado touched down just east of Highway 56 north of Center Grove in Jackson County where dozens of trees were snapped and uprooted as well as some minor roof damage to a single family|home. The tornado continued east-northeast and caused significant roof damage to a manufactured home along JC Johnson Lane. From here, the tornado crossed Seven Knobs Road where it intensified, causing significant timber damage west of Blackburn Fork Road. Even more trees were snapped and uprooted as the tornado continued east along Lynn Hill Road. A barn was destroyed along Zion Road before dissipating just east of that area. 00:20Z EF1 KOHX TN Putnam Cookeville Arpt This EF-1 tornado touched down near Cyphers Drive in northern Putnam County where tree damage was found. As the tornado continued east, there was additional tree damage found along Cindy Drive along with roof damage and significant garage damage to homes on Malone Lane. The tornado then crossed into Overton County. Damages are a rough estimate.
00:25Z EF1 KOHX TN Overton Waterloo This is a continuation of the tornado that began in Putnam County. This EF-1 tornado then uprooted and snapped trees along Duncans Chapel Road as well as caused minor roof damage and downed trees on Ben Mason Road. Further east along Tommy Dodson Highway, several trees were uprooted and two barns had roof damage, and a barn was destroyed. On Highway 111, there was damage to a gas station and retail|building and more trees damaged near Rickman. Minor roof damage to a barn and some branches found along Okalona Road east of Rickman before the tornado dissipated. This tornado was responsible for one injury in Overton County. Damages are a rough estimate.
00:41Z EF1 KOHX TN Overton Hanging Limb This EF-1 tornado touched down near Coy Phillips Road, west of Hanging Limb in Overton County. It then tracked east-southeast into Hanging Limb where it snapped dozens of trees and caused roof damage to outbuildings along E Fork Lane. The tornado continued along E Fork Lane where it caused significant roofing damage to a residence and uprooted trees. Along Steel Tram Ridge Lane, the tornado completely ripped a porch off the front of a house and caused a camper to roll on its side. The tornado presumably lifted near the end of Indian Creek Trail east of Hanging Limb. This tornado was also responsible for one injury in Overton County. Damages are a rough estimate.
00:53Z EF2 KOHX TN Fentress Highland Jct This tornado touched down northwest of Clarkrange along Baldwin Gulf Road in Fentress County where it caused roofing damage to a residence. The tornado traveled east-southeast and crossed Lowe Point Road, Old Bean Shed Road, and S York Highway, snapping trees along its path. The tornado continued its east-southeast track towards the Fentress and Morgan County border, and once it crossed Ernest Hall Road, it destroyed a chicken barn. The tornado then crossed into Morgan County at Brodio Road. Damage found in Fentress County was rated EF-1 tornado damage with maximum estimated winds of 95 mph, but the tornado strengthened to EF-2 after crossing into Morgan County. Damages are a rough estimate.
01:04Z EF2 KMRX TN Morgan Adkins Mill This tornado first formed in Fentress County before tracking into heavily forested and rugged areas of Morgan County. Aerial imagery from Tennessee Highway Patrol indicated the tornado produced tree damage as it moved through the forests of Morgan County. The tornado continued to moved southeast where it produced EF-2 damage by destroying two manufactured homes, and damaged multiple barns and outbuildings near the intersection of Twin Bridge Rd and Thurman Lavender Rd. At this location is where the two fatalities and two injuries occurred, both fatalities were inside a manufactured house that was completely destroyed by the tornado. At a separate family residence, a dozen chickens were reported killed along with their coop, a tool shed, and a barn destroyed. Thousands of trees were felled within the debris path, with shredded housing strewn amongst the trees. As the tornado continued southeast, it snapped the top of trees consistent with EF-1 damage near the convergence of Highway 62 and Deer Lodge Highway. At this location at least 35 acres of trees were blown down in a fairly straight and non-convergent pattern facing north relative to the damage swath. Minor roof damage was also noted at this intersection, with small outbuildings destroyed. The tornado continued southeast into forested areas before dissipating prior to Highway 27.
02:26Z EF1 KMRX TN Grainger Thorn Hill The tornado began near McAnally Rd and Campground Rd before moving east along Highway 131. Tree damage began sporadically at first, with a few cedar trees split or blown over, tree damage then began to intensify towards the heart of the damage path. There were several barns and outbuildings with roof damage along 131, and numerous snapped trees. A small chicken coop was lofted up and over the pen around the coop, and left upside down in a ditch but with no scratches or visible damage to the coop. The most significant damage was to a large barn on Highway 131 that was completely destroyed. The tornado continued to Clinch River Hardwoods and Thorn Hill Church. At that location a large tanker trailer was overturned, and the church had some light damage to siding and windows. The tornado lifted where trees were snapped on the side of Clinch Mountain near US Highway 25E.
