This damage survey is based on video and times provided by the individuals along with estimates from radar. The weak tornado moved west to east across the northern portions of Benld producing damage to trees and power lines and minor damage to several homes. Damage information was provided by emergency management officials. The tornado was rated EF0 with a path length of 1.82 miles and a max path width of 30 yards. No deaths or injuries were reported. |

| 22:29Z | EF1 | KIND | IN | Owen | Freedom | The EF-1 rated tornado, with max wind speeds of 110 mph, began just southwest of downtown Freedom before moving into the town shearing numerous trees around town. The tornado continued to the northeast leaving a very clear path of sheared and uprooted trees in a path about 200 yards wide. The storm crossed the White River several times over its lifetime and followed the river line to south of Spencer. This is where a large building had its roof uplifted and walls collapsed. The building was part of a business that was set to open for the first time on Monday. The damage ended shortly after and the storm recycled into the next tornado. |

A 400 yard wide path of trees was completely shredded in spots. Additional widespread tree damage was found on Mount Tabor Road and West Cowden Road. Along West Cowden Road, several barns and outbuildings were destroyed as well as a loosely anchored garage completely swept off of its foundation. The tornado continued into rural forest before dissipating. |

The owner verified it was well built and in very good shape. The track continued across State Road 54 and left a wide swath of tree damage with a resident stating over 100 acres of trees were snapped. The storm crossed State Road 43 and dissipated in a field to the east. |

The tornado moved east and knocked down seven trees and tossed tree branches to the south and west at a farmstead. One of the tree branches hit the corner of a shed and bent part of the metal overhang on the shed. |

Alro Steel Company also sustained damage to the roof and wall of a warehouse-like structure. Numerous power poles were also downed near the Alro structure. In addition to the roof damage at Beech Grove High School, they also had more than 20 classrooms damaged or destroyed. The scoreboard on the football field was significantly damaged as well. The tornado continued for several hundred feet before dissipating. |

The worst damage was located just southwest of Rushville along County Road 300 South and Flatrock River Road. Two metal silos and a barn were destroyed at a property near the intersection and debris from these structures were twisted and carried one half to three quarters of a mile to the northeast. An extensive amount of trees were sheared and uprooted along Flatrock River Road.||Additional damage occurred to trailers parked at the Fraley and Schilling Trucking Company along State Route 3 just south of Rushville. The last area of significant damage occurred at a home along Orange Pike to the east-southeast of Rushville. Numerous trees were snapped and a detached and well anchored garage was completely destroyed.||Tree damage continued to the northeast of this point...crossing State Route 44 west of Glenwood before ending north of Glenwood near County Road 250 North. |

The roof collapsed within the building as the north wall was blown out. There was a large amount of splatter on the east facing wall. A piece of metal was located in a tree around forty yards to the west of the church. Debris from the church was lifted and scattered northward across the cemetery and up to 200 yards into a nearby field. |

As it moved east it, strengthened causing more tree damage and siding damage to a house. The tornado then reached peak strength, destroying a farm outbuilding, throwing two pieces of farming equipment 40 yards, and then moving a pickup truck through the air approx 20 yards. A house at this location suffered major damage, as it was moved off it's foundation. All the windows were blown out, a bolted down garage was destroyed and lofted. Three power poles were also snapped at this location. The tornado then turned northeast, destroying numerous trees. Once it came down the bluff, it hit power lines causing them to lean over. The tornado ended shortly after this. |

| 01:42Z | EF1 | KILN | IN | Union | Clifton | The tornado first touched down on the 1700 block of North U.S. Route 27, where a swirl was observed in a field just to the southwest of a well-constructed, 110 ft by 105 ft metal farm storage building. Several 4 X 4`s were snapped and the building was completely destroyed. Metal debris from this building was identified over 2 miles to the northeast. Wood debris from the barn was located from south to north in a semicircle approximately two hundred yards wide. In addition, there was a convergent path of wood and metal debris off to the northeast. Along this convergent path, a significant amount of debris was deposited in a tree line approximately a half mile to the northeast.||Additional damage was observed along the 1700 block of East Mitchell Road. An eyewitness saw the tornado a half mile to the southwest, and estimated the width as around 100 feet. He also observed large pieces of metal rotating in the tornado. At his property, an ornamental iron fence was bent down at a 45 degree angle due to a combination of winds associated with the tornado and debris from the location on North U.S. Route 27. The home also suffered some damage, including glass from a storm door blown in and broken glass from four windows. A circular item around three|feet in diameter and weighing two hundred pounds was lifted up, hit the house and then deposited about a couple hundred feet in a ditch behind the house. Numerous trees and large limbs across the property were also knocked down. A few of the trees reached diameters up to two feet.||Debris was evident in the field northeast of the East Mitchell Road residence. This debris was associated with the large metal building at the first location.||Additional damage was found further northeast at a residence on County Road 200 East. Several trees were downed, with one falling on the roof of a house and causing damage. This is the last known damage that occurred from this tornado. |

| 01:51Z | EF0 | KILN | IN | Wayne | East Richmond Arpt | The tornado first touched down along South 37th Street, just to the south of Backmeyer Road, as indicated by swirl marks in an adjacent field. Two trees were snapped along South 37th Street.||The tornado then moved north-northeast, producing damage at the Brookdale Nursing Home on South A Street. Five to ten percent of the roof was removed. One tree, four inches in diameter, was knocked down and several smaller limbs from trees were also knocked down.||The most significant damage was observed at the Richmond Mall where several air handlers on the roof were removed and one was blown northeast onto U.S. 40. The parking lot was also full of debris and a large store on the southwest side of the mall had fifty percent of the glass blown in. On the east side of the mall, a brick wall seven feet high by thirty feet long was destroyed and some of the facade was starting to peel away from the roof. Around that same area, a garage door was blown in. Overall less than five percent of the roof of the mall was removed. On the inside of the mall approximately eight businesses experienced damage, primarily from windows blown out and merchandise blown around. Winds at the Richmond Mall were estimated to be around 85 mph, which is rated at the highest end for an EF0 tornado.||Some of the roof material from the mall landed in three to five businesses on the other side of US 40. Those businesses also received minor damage, with isolated windows being blown out and also some observed damage to signage and siding. A concrete table was moved several feet from its original position, and there was also minor small tree damage. In the service station at the intersection of US 40 and Hayes Arboretum Rd, an adult and a child were sitting in a car when the windows were blown in, causing minor injuries. They were taken to the hospital, treated and released.||Further northeast along Woodside Drive, a large hardwood tree fell to the southwest onto a house and also a tall metal television antenna fell the opposite direction onto the house. Extensive tree damage was also observed near the house, with several two foot diameter trees blown down. Debris from the signage of businesses was scattered throughout the property on Woodside Drive.||The property next door also experienced some damage, particularly with the garage being shifted and a tree limb also knocked down onto the house. Further down along Woodside Drive, several large tree limbs were knocked down. On Sycamore Drive, isolated two to three foot diameter trees were knocked down.||The last visible damage from this tornado appeared to be along Gravel Pit Road, where an additional one or two trees were knocked down. |

The most significant damage was to a large tree limb which was blown down and punctured the roof of a house. In addition, two large barn doors were blown in and a side barn door was ripped off and blown to the north-northwest about 20 yards. A few windows and sections of the barn were also damaged.||The tornado appears to have moved northeast across a field, then produced additional damage to trees at a residence on Wolverton Road, just south of Paddock Road. The tornado dissipated shortly afterwards. |

The RaXPol mobile research radar observed the last portion of the tornado life cycle and preliminary investigations noted that the tornadic circulation weakened at 9:13:55 pm CDT. |
