12:19Z EF1 KMXX AL Bullock Peachburg The tornado touched down in a pecan grove on Peachburg Road uprooting a mature healthy pecan tree. It traveled northeast paralleling Peachburg Road, snapping and uprooting numerous pines and hardwoods. It continued along a utility right of way and partially wooded land before crossing Peachburg Road again, and lifted just after crossing the road. No structures were affected by this tornado. Estimated peak wind was 95 mph.
13:22Z EF0 KEVX FL Walton Bruce A brief tornado was confirmed by a KEVX dual-pol radar debris signature in a rural area west of Bruce. Damage was likely confined to trees with no structural damage reported. This tornado was rated EF0.
13:25Z EF0 KEVX FL Walton Bruce A brief EF0 tornado occurred along Highway 81 just north of Bruce. Damage was confined to trees and power lines downed.
13:38Z EF0 KHTX AL Cherokee Leesburg A weak tornado touched down in extreme northwestern Cherokee County just northwest of the city of Leesburg. The tornado touched down along Keener Dr, west of state road 68, uprooting and snapping multiple hard and softwood trees. One of the larger hardwood trees unfortunately fell into a residence causing substantial damage to both the home and vehicle. Just further downstream, a barn was also destroyed by an uprooted tree along Bristow Gap Rd. The tornado was also at its widest point here of approximately 200 yards. The tornado continued north-northeast crossing State Road 68 causing damage to additional trees. The tornado lifted near the intersection of County Road 166 and County Road 670, but not before causing some minor porch and siding damage to another residence. Estimated peak wind was 80 mph.
13:43Z EF1 KMXX AL Russell Hooks A debris signature from the Maxwell Doppler Radar (KMXX) prompted a storm survey in this very rural portion of Russell County. The majority of the debris signature was over inaccessible and waterlogged land. The tornado did snap and uproot numerous trees as it crossed Perry`s Well Road and in the surrounding forest. The path length is approximate due to lack of roads and inaccessibility. Estimated peak wind was 95 mph.
13:46Z EF1 KEOX AL Henry Capps A short EF1 tornado track was surveyed just southwest of Abbeville, AL with max winds estimated at 110 mph. Eight railroad cars were flipped off their tracks along Alabama Highway 173 just south of a pulpwood plant. Otherwise, damage was confined to trees on the remainder of the path. A media article reported that it would cost around $1 million to turn the railroad cars upright again.
14:17Z EF1 KMXX AL Russell Oswichee National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in eastern Russell County and confirmed a tornado. The tornado touched down south of County Road 18 just west of Highway 165. The tornado tracked northeast and crossed Highway 165 causing structural damage to several businesses in the drop zone market, removing the roof off a metal building, and tossing several rooftop air conditioning units. A large hardwood tree was uprooted in this same location. As it continued northeast, it crossed two subdivisions causing mainly roof and siding damage to numerous houses in the subdivisions. The tornado moved into the Alabama portion of Fort Benning, mainly over forested areas of the installation before reaching the Chattahoochee River. Estimated peak wind was 95 mph.
14:26Z EF1 KMXX GA Chattahoochee Kasihta The Ft. Benning Emergency Manager reported that a tornado moved across the Chattahoochee River from Alabama into Georgia and tracked across southern Ft. Benning. The tornado moved over mainly undeveloped, forested areas of Ft. Benning where numerous trees were downed. Based on information from the Emergency Manager and a NWS survey team from Birmingham, it was determined that the intensity was EF-1 with maximum wind speeds of 100 MPH and an average path width of 350 yards. 14:47Z EF1 KEOX FL Jackson Campbellton This tornado traveled across three states from Jackson county, FL, through Houston county, AL, and ended in Early county, GA. From the initial touchdown in Florida through the first few miles of the track into Houston county, AL, the path width varied from 100-200 yards wide. Damage in the Florida part of the track was primarily limited to trees and power lines with a rating of EF1.
14:50Z EF1 KEOX AL Houston Madrid This is a continuation of the long track tornado that started in Jackson county, FL. Along the Houston county portion the track, numerous trees and power lines were blown down. One home in the Cottonwood area was damaged by a tree falling on the structure. In the Pansey area, a large metal outbuilding was destroyed with some of the debris removed from the foundation. The damage path began to widen at this point while approaching the Chattahoochee River and entering Early county, GA. The Alabama portion of the tornado track was rated EF1.
15:15Z EF1 KEOX GA Early Cedar Springs This is a continuation of the long track tornado that started in Jackson county, FL and moved through Houston county, AL and into Early county, GA. For the Early county, GA portion of the track, numerous trees were snapped or uprooted along its path. Some damage to structures occurred, mainly with roofing material removed. The damage width reached its maximum extent south of Blakely where the tornado was estimated to be around 500 yards wide. Significant tree damage was noted about 2 miles south of Blakely just before the tornado started to lift. Debris from this area was blown east of Highway 27, but the tornado itself did not cross the highway. This section of the track was rated EF1 with winds around 105 mph.||While this is certainly not one of the stronger tornadoes to affect the WFO Tallahassee forecast area in recent years, this tornado is noteworthy for having a 39 mile long damage path occurring across three states.
15:38Z EF1 KJGX GA Sumter Huntington A NWS survey team found that a brief EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 105 MPH and a path width of 100 yards touched down in southern Sumter County. The tornado destroyed 4 large grain silos, throwing debris over a quarter of a mile away into an adjacent field. A nearby metal building had 2 doors blown out, however the farm equipment inside was not damaged. The tornado snapped or uprooted 30-40 trees including some in a large pecan orchard. 16:51Z EF1 KTLH FL Leon Tallahassee Mall Sporadic tree damage was found along a well defined path. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 95 mph with this EF1 tornado. The most focused area of damage was around Meridian Road and Maclay Road. No significant structural damage was noted, although some fence damage occurred on private property and one vehicle was crushed by falling trees. A debris signature was noted on the KTLH dual-pol radar at the time and location of the damage.
17:23Z EF1 KJGX GA Laurens Alcorns A NWS survey team determined that an EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 95 MPH touched down near West Alcorn Farm Road then traveled northeast 11.57 miles before ending near Walke Dairy Road. Along the path of this tornado 200-300 trees were downed, metal roofs were blown off a barn and storage shed, and approximately 40 trees were blown onto the eastbound lanes of I-16. 18:01Z EF0 KVAX GA Coffee Upton The tornado tracked over west central Coffee county across the rural outskirts west of Douglas by a short-lived supercell thunderstorm. There was damage to house siding, shallow rooted pine trees were pushed over, large branches were broken off trees, minor roof damage occurred, and loss of wood and metal panels occurred to small farm outbuildings. The cost of damage was unknown, but estimated for Storm Data.
19:42Z EF2 KCLX GA Burke Greens Cut NWS storm survey found an EF2 tornado touched down in northern Burke County taking down numerous trees then traveling NNE into Richmond County taking down trees, damaging homes, vehicles and other structures Done Roven Road.
20:10Z EF2 KCAE SC Aiken Gloverville NWS storm survey found an EF2 tornado touched down near Glenwood Drive and continued across south and southeast Aiken to I-20. Numerous trees and many homes, vehicles, and other structures were damaged on the south side of Aiken.
20:21Z EF0 KCAE SC Edgefield Bouknight NWS storm survey found an EF0 tornado intermittently touched down in wooded areas from Two Mile Road to near Bland Baptist Road. One tree fell on a home causing minor damage.
20:30Z EF1 KVAX FL Suwannee Lancaster Emergency management surveyed EF1 tornado damage in the Luraville area. The damage first began along 209th street then spread east-northeast toward 181st Drive. Extensive tree damage occurred and ranged from downed live oaks and twisted trunks with metal sheeting lofted into tree tops. The cost of damage was unknown.
21:15Z EF1 KCAE SC Lexington Clubhouse Xrds NWS storm survey found an EF1 tornado took down numerous trees and damaged several homes on the south side of Lake Murray. The tornado continued across the lake and touched down on Shadowood Road taking down a few trees, some on homes, and also lifted a pontoon boat out of the water dropping it down on a dock on its side.
21:20Z EF1 KCAE SC Calhoun Hammond Xrds NWS storm survey found an EF1 tornado destroyed a mobile home on Otts Sisters Road injuring two people, damaged another, and also did minor damage to industrial facility. Numerous trees were also down along the path of the tornado.
22:34Z EF0 KCAE SC Darlington Enoch Xrds A National Weather Service Storm Survey team found evidence of an EF-0 tornado with winds to 75 mph. Two chicken houses were damaged and one other was partially destroyed off of U.S. Highway 401 near the intersection of Lynches River Road. A trailer near U.S. Highway 401 and West Lynches River Road sustained damage to its underpinning. Two disease ridden trees alongside the trailer were snapped. The tornado crossed U.S. Highway 401 knocking down numerous trees. The tornado knocked down more trees which in turn toppled a nearby power pole and power line as it crossed West Lynches Road and lifted. A piece of sheet metal from a chicken house was found 1.75 miles away, in a field off of Hudson Street.
22:35Z EF1 KLZK AR Conway Overcup The tornado touched down on the east side of Arkansas State Hwy 9 at Overcup (Conway County). Damage mainly consisted of snapped and blown down trees. There was also minor damage to outbuildings and chicken houses.
02:56Z EF0 KILN OH Montgomery Hempstead A National Weather Service survey team found evidence of a weak tornado touching down near the intersection of Glenmina Drive and East Rahn Road. Significant tree damage consisting of snapped and uprooted trees was noted along much of the length of Glenmina Drive bounded by East Rahn Road and Wilmington Pike. In particular, many of the trees fell in a cross-path component to the storm's motion, suggesting the presence of ground-based circulation along or immediately west of Glenmina Drive. Little to no structural damage was noted in this area.
06:45Z EF0 KHTX AL Limestone Pisgah A small tornado touched down and produced tree damage to several trees along its path, including snapped and uprooted pine trees. One tree fell onto a home on Bridges road in Limestone county during the path of the tornado.
