12:23Z EF0 KVWX IL Wabash Maud This tornado touched down just north of Highway 15 along County Road 850E. The tornado caused mainly tree damage. There were several large tree limbs down. Some minor siding damage occurred on a house. Siding was taken off the east side of a barn. The damage path was intermittent. Peak winds were estimated at 75 mph.
12:29Z EF1 KVWX IL Wabash Allendale Several large trees and tree limbs were down along the intermittent damage path. A tree was down on a house. Shingles were blown off a couple of houses. The tornado was in a very rural area. Peak winds were estimated at 90 mph.
12:40Z EF2 KLOT IL Will Peotone A tornado touched down about 4 miles east of Peotone. The tornado produced its most intense damage along South Will Center Road, about halfway between Corning Road and Peotone-Beacher Road, removing a house's roof, collapsing exterior walls on the second floor of the house, and completely destroying a garage and three other outbuildings. Two teenage boys were injured in the house. Four power poles were also downed just northeast of the area along Peotone-Beecher Road. Additional EF1 and EF0 damage was found along a path running southwest toward Kennedy Road. This damage consisted of collapsed outbuildings, snapped cedar trees, and damage to homes. One home on Corning Road was pushed off its foundation and the chimney collapsed.
12:47Z EF1 KMKX WI Kenosha Somers An EF1 tornado developed about 0.95 mile north of Somers, about 2300 feet southwest of the intersection of County Highway KR (County Line Road) and County Highway EA (72nd Avenue). The tornado moved northeast just under one-half mile in Kenosha County before crossing into southern Racine County about 1.34 miles northeast of Somers at the intersection of CTH EA and County Line Rd. While in Kenosha County it destroyed a 6-vehicle garage and damaged a nearby home, trees, and power lines. The tornado path averaged 50 yards in width, with a maximum width of 100 yards. The EF-rating was based on DI 27(TH) DOD 4 with estimated wind speeds up to 100 mph. The exact start location is Lat 42.66377 Lon -87.89961. The exact end location on the Kenosha-Racine County line is Lat 42.66901 Lon -87.89515. Property damage values were estimated.
12:48Z EF1 KMKX WI Racine Sturtevant An EF1 tornado that developed in far northern Kenosha County, northeast of Somers, entered Racine County near the intersection of County Highway KR (County Line Road) and 90th Street. After a path length of about 0.43 mile in Kenosha County, it crossed into Racine County where CTH EA (72nd Ave) intersects County Line Rd. The tornado moved northeast and dissipating in the northeast section of Graceland Cemetery on the west side of the City of Racine, about 500 feet west of Osborne Boulevard. In Racine County, the tornado blew a weakly anchored barn (built in the 1920s) off its foundation and damaged an industrial building south of STH 11. Later on, it tore off a 100'x200' roof section of the Case/New Holland building, damaged several HVAC units on the roof, and tore off some of the building's garage doors. The Case/New Holland plant was closed until Monday, November 1st while the roof was being repaired. Two workers in this plant were injured by the tornadoes effects. Additionally, a tractor and it's semi-trailer on the Case/New Holland site were blown over and damaged. wo other businesses on STH 11 reported roof damage. At least 3 homes sustained damage. State Highway 11 was closed for a time in eastern Racine County due to debris and fallen power lines, closing or disrupting business at stores along Highway 11, especially in the 7000 and 7100 blocks. At a church 2 miles northeast of the intersection of STH 11 and Oakes Rd., damage was inflicted to its roof, siding windows and a brick sign. Numerous trees and a few power lines were blown down or broken along the path of the tornado. At one point, about 2700 customers lost electrical power. There were reports of a couple vehicle accidents as drivers tried to avoid the tornado. The tornado path averaged 50 yards in width, with a maximum width of 100 yards. The EF-rating was based on DI 23 DOD 4 EXP103 with estimated wind speeds up to 105 mph. The exact start location in Racine County is Lat 42.66901 Lon -87.89515. The exact end location is Lat 42.72845 Lon -87.82596. The path of the tornado was not a straight line, rather, a rough curved line with an actual path length of 5.92 miles within Racine County. After crossing STH 11 about 1/10 of a mile east of North Branch Pike River, the tornado path bearing changed from NNE to NE. Property damage values are estimated.

13:42Z EF1 KIWX IN La Porte Wanatah A survey of damage near the town of Wanatah, plus numerous eye witness reports, confirmed a tornado rapidly touched down north of West Bailey Road and east of US 421 in an open field. A funnel cloud was tracked by emergency personnel as it approached the south side of the town before touching down. The circulation then struck several structures at the Hoosier Machinery Solutions, destroying them. The largest structure was a 50 foot by 200 foot open shelter that as destroyed and debris was carried nearly a mile northeast before being dropped in a field. A security camera recorded the destruction of the shelter. The tornado then quickly crossed US 30 east of US 421 clipping the garage of a residence and blowing the garage door in and a large portion of the roof over the garage off and into an adjacent field. In addition, the walls of a barn were pushed, causing it to lean, but not collapse. The last damage noted was some roof damage at a residence on South 900 West, north of US 30. The circulation then lifted. Maximum winds are estimated at around 90 mph.
13:50Z EF0 KIND IN Howard Vermont A brief tornado touchdown was confirmed about two and a half miles east of downtown Kokomo near County Roads 300 East and 50 North. One home had significant damage and six other structures had minor roof or fence damage. Numerous trees were also reported down. This tornado has been rated an EF0 (wind speeds between 65 and 85 mph).
14:18Z EF0 KIWX IN Wabash Wabash A survey of damage indicated that a circulation, embedded within a larger area of straight-line winds, touched down at the intersection of US 24 and State Highway 15, on the north side of Wabash. Winds from the tornado blew in a door and pushed out a few sky lights as well as shifted a HVAC unit on top of the building. The tornado continued northeast, removing much of the roof of a vocational center building, and then some metal roofing from an older grain storage barn. A few utility poles were bent or snapped towards the end of the tornado track. The tornado dissipated near the intersection of County Roads 300 North and 100 East. Maximum wind speeds are estimated at between 80 and 85 mph, with a maximum width of 100 yards.
14:20Z EF1 KIWX IN Grant Upland A survey of damage found evidence of a circulation touching down roughly one quarter mile north of the intersection of County Road 600 South and 700 East. The tornado then quickly moved northeast. Initial damage occurred to a house, which had some windows broken, garage door and roof damage. As the tornado continued it moved across the Jefferson Cemetery, lifting turning and blowing over several gravestones. A small building at the cemetery was lifted and moved 15 feet. The tornado then struck a hardware store, blowing in the south side wall and blowing in the north side door. The circulation lifted near the intersection of County Roads 500 South and 800 East. The maximum width was around 100 yards with maximum wind speeds estimated at around 100 mph.
14:21Z EF0 KIWX IN Huntington Luther A survey of damage confirmed a circulation touched down in an open field and moved rapidly northeast near the Huntington and Whitley County line. The tornado caused damage to a barn and garage before moving into Whitley County.
14:22Z EF0 KIWX IN Whitley Luther The tornado continued from Huntington County across open fields, snapping a few small trees along its path. The tornado destroyed several small metal grain bins and damaged some farm outbuildings. Debris was found twisted and thrown several yards to the northeast. Maximum wind speeds are estimated at around 75 mph.
14:23Z EF0 KIND IN Hancock Warrington A brief EF0 tornado touched down northwest of Wilkinson on Nashville Rd. Several outbuildings and one garage was destroyed. One home was largely deroofed.
14:27Z EF0 KVWX KY Muhlenberg New Cypress A National Weather Service damage survey revealed a brief EF-0 tornado along Highway 601. Around 30 small trees were broken off. No structures were in the path of the tornado. The peak wind was estimated at 65 to 70 mph.
14:28Z EF1 KOHX KY Christian Merrittstown The tornado touched down west of Hopkinsville along Highway 272, where a metal building was damaged and a couple of small trees were down. In a subdivision on the north side of Highway 272, there were several homes with partial removal of roof shingles. There was damage to gutters and flashing. Numerous trees were uprooted, mainly small trees. Numerous large tree limbs were broken. One house roof was damaged by a falling tree limb. The tornado was videotaped by storm spotters as it moved through the west side of Hopkinsville. A storage warehouse sustained roof damage. A warehouse side structure was ripped away from a building in Hopkinsville. Peak winds were estimated near 85 mph. The average path width was 70 yards.
14:31Z EF0 KIWX IN Kosciusko Warsaw Arpt A survey of damage north of Warsaw indicated a weak circulation touched down just to the southeast of the intersection of County Roads 450 North and 100 East, in the North Winds subdivision. Minor damage occurred in the subdivision with shingle damage to one roof and a swing and trampoline being thrown into a pond adjacent to 450 North. The tornado then crossed 450 North where the southeast portion of a corn field ready for harvest was flattened and a few tree tops and limbs were snapped. The circulation lifted near County Road 175 East just south of the Tippecanoe River where a power pole was snapped and antenna bent. The maximum width of the tornado was around 30 yards with estimated winds of around 80 mph.
14:31Z EF1 KIWX IN Huntington Bracken A survey of damage indicated a circulation touched down near the intersection of County Road 825 West and Bracken Road. The circulation lifted near the intersection of County Roads 1100 North and 825 West. A grain bin was destroyed with several outbuildings suffering extensive damage. Wood projectiles from the outbuildings were lodged in the rood of a house on the property, with concrete blocks being picked up and lofted onto the roof of a small building. The debris was blown up to a mile away as the circulation lifted near the intersection of County Road 1100 North and 825 West.
14:42Z EF1 KIWX IN Whitley Columbia City Arpt A survey of wind damage near Columbia City confirmed a circulation touched down one half mile north of the intersection of County Road 400 South and State Road 9. Damage occurred to the outer portions of a wooded area where several tree suffered limb damage. As the tornado continued northeast, several structures suffered varying degrees of damage ranging from two barns being destroyed to several homes suffering siding or shingle damage. Several hardwood trees were either uprooted or snapped along the track. (DI: TH DOD 4). Maximum wind speeds are estimated at between 100 and 105 mph with a maximum width of 150 yards.
14:52Z EF0 KOHX KY Christian Pembroke A damage survey revealed a weak tornado caused a path of intermittent tree damage. Several large tree limbs were blown down, one whole tree was down, and tin was damaged on a couple of barns. Peak winds were estimated near 70 mph. The damage path ended near the junction of Highway 1453 and U.S. Highway 41.
14:58Z EF0 KOHX KY Todd Trenton A damage survey revealed a brief EF-0 tornado along Highway 475. There was damage to recreational equipment blown from the back yard of a home. Pieces of tin were blown off a barn roof. Peak winds were estimated at 65 mph.
15:02Z EF0 KIWX OH Van Wert Dixon The circulation touched down roughly 3.5 miles southwest of Convey, near the intersection of Tully Harrison and Mentzer Church Roads. After touchdown, the tornado flipped a stationary large semi trailer and camper, as well as tearing the roof off of a barn. The tornado continued northeast to Convoy Road, between Van Horn and Lare Road. Roughly half of the roof was torn off a home and thrown around 100 yards to the northeast, with a windmill being carried roughly 40 yards. An additional house suffered roof damage as well as the circulation continued northeast. The tornado crossed Lare Road where it destroyed a small barn before lifting. The debris was found three quarters of a mile away. Maximum winds are estimated at around 80 mph.
15:02Z EF0 KIWX IN Allen Zulu A survey of damage indicated a circulation touched down on Roussey Road, between Rorick and Howe Roads, where a barn door was ripped off and a large tree blown over. The tornado continued northeast destroying a barn. A home on the property suffered projectile damage from pieces of the barn into the roof as well as window damage. The last damage noted from the tornado was four open air train cars being blown off the tracks onto their sides. Debris from the barn was found near the location of where the tornado dissipated on Edgerton Road between Roussey and Sampson Roads.
15:04Z EF1 KIWX IN Allen Milan Center A survey of damage confirmed a circulation touched down within a larger area of straight line winds near the intersection of Graber and Maysville Roads. Several trees were damaged ranging from broken limbs to uprooting at the touchdown point. The tornado continued northeast where several pole barns and smaller structures were damaged with the severity ranging from moderate roof and wall damage to being destroyed. Power lines and poles were also blown down in a few locations. While the damage swath was roughly a half mile wide, much of this was from wind damage with the actual circulation was within a 150 yard wide area.
15:12Z EF1 KIWX OH Van Wert Scott A survey of storm damage revealed a circulation touched down on John Brown Road, about one half mile south of the Van Wert-Paulding county line. Shortly after touchdown the tornado destroyed a small grain bin at a local farm. The tornado continued northeast across open fields where it crossed the county line east of John Brown Road. While the rating of the entire tornado track is consistent with an EF1, the damage in Van Wert County is consistent with winds of around 80 mph, an EF0.
15:13Z EF1 KIWX OH Paulding Haviland This tornado is a continuation of Van Wert County circulation. The circulation remained over open fields as it moved towards Haviland. As the tornado passed through town, a garage door was blown in, with numerous houses suffering shingle damage and scattered tree damage. As the circulation continued rapidly northeast, a total of three barns were damaged, with two of the barns destroyed and the third having a large door ripped off. A house suffered siding damage mainly from debris striking the house. The debris resulted in a few windows being broken with at least 2 boards being driven into a wall and roof portion. The debris was carried roughly one half mile towards the northeast. The tornado then crossed near County Roads 117 and 72, where two large trees were uprooted and a house sustained window and roof damage. The last damage was found in the town of Broughton where a house and trees sustained damage. The debris from this damage was found in a field to the northeast, where it appeared to have lifted near County Road 102, east of County Road 123. Maximum sustained winds were estimated to be around 100 mph.
15:29Z EF1 KIWX OH Paulding Oakwood A survey of damage near the Paulding and Putnam County line confirmed a circulation touched down on County Road 205, between County Road 263 and Township Highway T-211. Trees were damaged near the point of touchdown, with a barn suffered roof damage. The tornado tracked over open fields for nearly a mile before crossing into Putnam County, north of Township Road G-24. While the maximum intensity of the tornado track has been determined to be an EF1, the damage in Paulding County is consistent with EF0 damage and maximum estimated winds of around 80 mph.
15:30Z EF1 KIWX OH Putnam Dupont This tornado is a continuation of the Paulding County tornado, which crossed into Putnam County. The tornado continued rapidly northeast, damaging several barns at a property on the east side of County Road 263, north of Township Road G. One barn was destroyed with two others suffering significant damage. In addition to the barn damage, a detached garage for the residence was destroyed and a corn crib was pushed four feet off its foundation. Additional damage was found along State Route 613, west of County Road 24, where trees were damaged and a home suffered the loss of some shingles, as well as near County Highway E and County Road 24. The last damage was found near the intersection of Township Road D and Township Highway 23 where the roof of a barn was torn off. The debris was thrown into an adjacent field, with the circulation then lifting. Maximum winds are estimated at around 100 mph.
15:40Z EF0 KILN OH Preble El Dorado The tornado touched down in Preble County at 1040 EST and continued into Darke County at 1041 EST before lifting at 1048 EST. The path width was 30 yards. The tornado traveled for 0.29 miles in Preble County and then 4.06 miles in Darke County. The damage was consistent with winds around 80 miles per hour in Preble County and 90 miles per hour in Darke County. The tornado was rated an EF0 in Preble County and an EF1 in Darke County. The tornado touched down initially in open farm land north of Eldorado-Whitewater Road. In this area, some farm fences were covered with corn debris. Minor tree damage was also found in this area. The tornado likely lifted for a brief time before touching down in Darke County west of Highway 726, destroying a barn. The tornado continued across Highway 726 where it hit a residence on Preble County-Butler-Township Road. At this location, outbuildings were destroyed and significant tree damage occurred. The tornado continued across farm fields until glancing another residence along Highway 722 where tree damage and minor outbuilding damage occurred. Several utility poles were also snapped in half. The tornado then continued northeast and hit a residence on Emrick Road where the most significant damage occurred. Windows were broken in the house, there was significant outbuilding damage, and several large and healthy trees were snapped off and uprooted. More damage was found to a residence on Otterbein-Ithaca Road near United States Highway 127. Here, a barn was partially collapsed and several trees were snapped. Roofing material was also removed from the house.

The tornado traveled for 0.29 miles in Preble County and then 4.06 miles in Darke County. The damage was consistent with winds around 80 miles per hour in Preble County and 90 miles per hour in Darke County. The tornado was rated an EF0 in Preble County and an EF1 in Darke County. 15:48Z EF0 KILN OH Auglaize Wapakoneta Damage from this brief tornado touchdown included a garage door that was blown in and a barn that collapsed. Based on this damage, wind speeds were estimated to be 75 miles per hour.
15:51Z EF0 KLVX KY Bullitt Mt Washington An NWS storm survey team found EF-0 tornado damage along Bogard Ln. just south of Hwy. 44 between Shepherdsville and Mt. Washington. The path length was 150 yards with a maximum width of 75 yards. A well constructed concrete workshop building was heavily damaged.
15:59Z EF2 KILN OH Auglaize Cridersville The tornado touched down in Auglaize County at 1059 EST and continued into Allen County at 1102 EST before lifting at 1103 EST. The path width was 110 yards in Auglaize County and 20 yards in Allen County. The tornado traveled for 2.53 miles in Auglaize County and then 1.39 miles in Allen County. The damage was consistent with winds around 110 miles per hour in Auglaize County and 75 miles per hour in Allen County. The tornado was rated an EF2 in Auglaize County and an EF0 in Allen County. The tornado initially touched down southwest of Cridersville where the tornado destroyed a barn. The tornado briefly lifted and then touched down in Cridersville. Damage in Cridersville included roofs blown off of houses, a house shifted off of the foundation, a house with major structural damage, and a half collapsed brick gymnasium. Objects were also impaled into the side of buildings. The tornado again briefly lifted and then touched down again in Allen County near McClain Road, north of Hume Road. At this location a quarter of a metal roof was pulled off of a metal barn. Damage estimates in Auglaize County are 230,000 dollars and in Allen County damage estimates are 8,000 dollars.
16:02Z EF0 KILN OH Allen Ft Shawnee This tornado was a continuation of the track of the Cridersville EF2 tornado. The tornado again briefly lifted prior to the Auglaize and Allen county line and then touched down again in Allen County near McClain Road, north of Hume Road. At this location a quarter of a metal roof was pulled off of a metal barn. No further damage was found beyond this location. Damage is estimated at around $8000.
16:04Z EF0 KILN IN Dearborn Upland A weak tornado was observed moving across State Route 1 between Georgetown Road and Salt Fork Road by a law enforcement officer. The tornado was on the road and in an open field, therefore no damage was reported. Wind speeds were estimated to be around 65 miles per hour.
16:08Z EF1 KOHX KY Warren Mt Victor A NWS storm survey team confirmed an EF-1 tornado in Warren county. The tornado touched down 3.2 miles southeast of Bowling Green at 11:08 am CDT and lifted 4.5 miles east-southeast of Bowling Green at 11:11 am CDT. Peak winds were around 90 mph with a path width of 60 yards. A tree was uprooted at the beginning of the path with a home damaged along Cemetery Rd. The tornado intensified as it progressed northeast, with a barn destroyed near the end of its track.
16:35Z EF0 KLVX KY Trimble Milton A NWS storm survey confirmed an EF-0 tornado from 2.2 miles SW of Milton to 1.1 miles SW of Milton. The path length was 1.1 miles with a maximum path width of 20 yards. Maximum sustained winds were 70 mph. In addition to tree and fence damage, a front porch roof was destroyed on one home, along with other roof and garage damage.
17:20Z EF0 KILN OH Clinton Lees Creek The tornado touched down in Clinton County at 1224 EST and continued into Fayette County at 1224 EST before lifting at 1225 EST. The path width was 200 yards. The tornado traveled for 3.81 miles in Clinton County and then 0.14 miles in Fayette County. The damage was consistent with winds around 85 miles per hour. The tornado touched down just west of State Route 72, about one mile northwest of the intersection with State Route 729. The tornado was observed on the ground from two separate residences near the initial touch down location. Four utility poles were observed to be broken and briefly suspended in the tornado near one of the residences. An occupant of the other residence observed debris circulating immediately east of State Route 72. At one location east of State Route 72, the tornado pulled a large metal door from a barn and destroyed a portion of the metal roof. Fragments of the roof were carried for approximately a quarter of a mile to the northeast. Field debris was also found wedged between the wall boards of the barn. The tornado continued northeast and next crossed Hornbeam Road approximately three-fourths of a mile northwest of the intersection with State Route 729. Damage on the east side of Hornbeam Road included a horse trailer that was picked up and carried about 100 feet. Numerous trees were also snapped on this same property. The tornado then traveled northeast across open and harvested fields until arriving at Greenfield-Sabina Road, approximately three-fourths of a mile northwest of the intersection with Snow Hill Road. Damage on the east side of the road included damage to a metal roof and a wall of a livestock barn. There was also roof and siding damage to two residences nearby. The concentrated damage path appeared to end just past this location in far western Fayette County.
17:24Z EF0 KILN OH Fayette Good Hope The tornado touched down in Clinton County at 1224 EST and continued into Fayette County at 1224 EST before lifting at 1225 EST. The path width was 200 yards. The tornado traveled for 3.81 miles in Clinton County and then 0.14 miles in Fayette County. The damage was consistent with winds around 85 miles per hour. The tornado touched down just west of State Route 72, about one mile northwest of the intersection with State Route 729. 17:30Z EF0 KILN OH Fayette Good Hope Along the path of the tornado, several trees were snapped and several structures lost parts or all of their roofs. The heaviest damage occurred to a large storage facility which suffered major roof loss and total collapse of the northern half of the structure. On the western edge of Washington Court House there was roof damage to two businesses in addition to tree damage. This damage is consistent with winds around 85 miles per hour.
17:52Z EF0 KILN OH Pickaway Darbyville The tornado touched down near Gullick Road where a small outbuilding was destroyed with debris strewn across Gullick Road and into adjacent fields. The tornado then hit several barns and outbuildings on Matville Road where one building was destroyed and significant roofing was torn off of another. The tornado crossed Hudson Road where more debris from a heavily damaged barn was strewn across Hudson Road and into adjacent fields. The tornado lifted before reaching Graham Road. Small debris was noted scattered in the fields on the west side of Graham Road. This damage is consistent with wind speeds near 85 miles per hour.
18:05Z EF0 KILN OH Franklin Groveport A brief tornado touched down near Bixby Road between Walden Trace and Hickory Grove Circle. The tornado struck two barns. Both barns were totally destroyed with damage blown into a nearby field. Another nearby barn lost almost all of the roof. Damage is indicative of wind speeds around 70 miles per hour.
18:23Z EF1 KHTX AL Lawrence Hillsboro An EF-1 tornado with winds up to 95 mph touched down briefly along Highway 20 near County Road 217 in Hillsboro. The tornado uprooted several trees and snapped several hardwood trees. The tornado lifted west of County Road 400.
18:27Z EF0 KILN OH Licking Union Station A brief tornado touched down just southwest of a subdivision and moved through part of the subdivision before lifting. Several large trees were snapped off due to the tornado. In addition, there was minor structural damage to several homes including windows blown out, roofing material removed, and chimney damage. The damage is consistent with wind speeds around 80 miles per hour.
19:30Z EF1 KHTX TN Bradley Charleston An short lived EF-1 tornado with maximum wind speeds at 90 mph touched down and produced roof damage to a convenient store, knocked a gas pump over and downed two trees near highway 11.
19:55Z EF1 KMRX TN Loudon Greenback An EF-1 tornado with maximum winds of 90 miles an hour, produced scattered tree damage with several trees twisted and downed in its path. Two small outbuildings were also destroyed by the tornado.
20:40Z EF0 KHTX AL Limestone Greenbrier An EF-0 tornado with peak winds up to 70 mph touched down very briefly along Greenbrier Road north of the of the Interstate 565 interchange. The tornado uprooted several small trees and snapped several large tree limbs.
22:02Z EF0 KGSP SC Oconee Long Creek A short tornado path was surveyed in the Sumter National Forest in the area around Spy Rock Rd and Forest Service Rd 748. Several trees were snapped off or uprooted in this area.
22:10Z EF1 KMRX KY Bell Middlesboro Bell Arp EF-1 tornado. Numerous trees were blown down and some structures were damaged near the mall, along 12th street, and along 19th street. The roof of the mall was damaged. The roof was blown off of Hickmans Building Supply and large sheets of metal were lifted, carried, and dropped 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. Two cinder block buildings were demolished at a lumber yard and two large steel doors were blown off of another business. A large sycamore tree that was blown down at the corner of 29th and Cumberland took down power lines as it fell.
22:16Z EF0 KGSP SC Oconee Tamassee A short tornado damage path was surveyed near the Falcon's Lair area north of Walhalla. Several trees were snapped or uprooted and one residence sustained minor damage.
22:25Z EF0 KHTX TN Marion Guild An EF-0 tornado with max winds of 70 mph moved through this rural area, twisting and downing a few trees in its short lived path.
22:50Z EF2 KHTX TN Hamilton Chattanooga NWS storm survey determined an EF2 tornado with maximum wind speed of 125 mph and a length of 1.2 miles with a path width of 100 yards touched down in the vicinity of the Chickamauga Dam. Damage from the storm included a roof torn off an apartment complex, a cement plant demolished, several vehicles on Highway 153 damaged and numerous trees and powerlines downed.
23:03Z EF1 KHTX AL Dekalb Whiton An EF-1 tornado with peak winds up to 100 mph touched down near the intersection of County Roads 389 and 391. The tornado snapped trees and tore the roof off of a barn in this area. Similar damage was observed along County roads 23 and 9. The tornado weakened briefly producing little damage until crossing Highway 227. Beginning in that area and extending to County Road 329, significant structural damage was observed. One location suffered significant damage to a home was that was pushed from it's foundation. In addition, a nearby workshop sustained heavy damage along with an RV, boat and two vehicles.
23:08Z EF2 KGSP NC Lincoln Toluca This strong tornado touched down near the intersection of Locust Trail and Tola Houser Lane. Several homes at the beginning of the track received major damage to the roof and exterior wall. One home was shifted off its foundation by nearly 20 feet, with an upstairs room removed. Two vehicles at this location were rolled several yards. The tornado moved northeast across Northbrook III School Rd. Several homes were damaged or destroyed and numerous trees snapped off or uprooted just north of the Reeps Grove Church Rd intersection. The damage path at this point was nearly 200 yards wide. The tornado continued northeast, crossing Macedonia Church Rd, Peeler Rd and Patriot Way, with additional homes as well as barns and a chicken house damaged or destroyed. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped off in this area as well. As the tornado continued east northeast, damage became more intermittent in the area around Palm Tree Church Rd, where only the tops of trees were snapped. The tornado entered into Catawba County in the vicinity of Dansbury Lane. Eleven people were injured, two seriously.
23:12Z EF0 KGSP NC Catawba Plateau A tornado moved from Lincoln County, into southwest Catawba County, with intermittent damage noted to trees. The tornado finally lifted near Cat Square Rd, where a school received some minor structural damage.
23:13Z EF0 KHTX AL Marshall Mc Ville An EF-0 tornado with peak winds up to 70 mph produced light sporadic damage along Hamby Road. The damage was relegated to a loss of roof materials on barns and light tree damage. One large tree was snapped by the tornado.
23:17Z EF0 KGSP SC Greenville Cleveland This tornado touched down near highway 11 near the Pleasant Ridge County Park, where the tops of numerous small trees were snapped off and several large trees were uprooted. The intermittent damage path continued east northeast, crossing highway 25 just north of the highway 11 junction. Damage again appeared near the intersection of Chinquapin Rd and highway 11, where the tops of several trees were snapped off along a ridge line. The most significant damage was observed just east/northeast of this location along Look Up Lodge Rd. Numerous small trees and large limbs were snapped off and several large trees were uprooted. Some minor structural damage was observed due to falling trees and limbs. Some boat docks were flipped on Chinquapin Lake as well. Sporadic tree damage continued to the east northeast, with the tornado apparently lifting between Chestnut Mountain Rd and Old Highway 11.
23:44Z EF2 KGSP NC Catawba Claremont The tornado touched down initially in an industrial park near Penny Rd, where two large buildings sustained significant roof damage. Part of the exterior wall of one of the buildings collapsed. The tornado moved northeast, causing damage to shingles and siding at several homes on St Vincent Dr. Two outbuildings were thrown 30 to 40 feet and numerous trees were snapped off or uprooted in this area as well. The tornado continued to cause severe damage to trees and generally minor structural damage to homes and a church as it moved northeast toward Catawba St. The damage path continued in a east northeast direction from there, roughly paralleling highway 70. Major roof damage occurred to a food processing plant on highway 70 and several outbuildings were destroyed. Numerous headstones were blown down in a cemetery adjacent to the plant. Numerous trailers were then overturned and part of a building destroyed at a truck depot near Liberty Hill Church Rd. The tornado continued east northeast for about another half mile before lifting.
00:03Z EF0 KGSP NC Polk Roddy Store This tornado touched down in the Sandy Plains Rd area just north of White Oak Creek, breaking off the tops of several trees and some large branches. The tornado then skipped east northeast, snapping and uprooting a small but concentrated area of trees in the Coxe Rd area. One large tree fell on a home on Coxe Rd before the tornado lifted.
00:15Z EF0 KGSP NC Rutherford Forest City This tornado began just southwest of Crowe Dairy Rd, where the tops of several trees were blown out. The tornado intensified as it moved northeast, blowing the porch off a home and scattering debris as far as 50 yards. In addition, part of the roof was lifted off an attached garage and doors were blown in on a shed at this location.
02:10Z EF1 KBMX AL Jefferson Huffman The tornado initially touched down approximately 3.5 miles northeast of the Birmingham airport near L.M. Smith Middle School and traveled northeast crossing Huffman Road, Center Point Parkway, Old Springville Road and Brewster Road. The tornado dissipated just south of the Grayson Valley Country Club. Numerous homes received minor roof damage with 25-50 large trees uprooted or snapped. Damage to structures was spotty mainly due to trees falling down. While most damage was limited to siding and roofing, three homes received major damage.
03:14Z EF1 KFCX NC Stokes Quaker Gap The tornado touched down on Mountain View Church Road. It then tracked northeast increasing in strength and reaching its maximum strength and width at Flat Shoals Road. As the tornado continued to move northeast it dissipated as it passed Sizemore Road. The tornado produced a wide swath of tree damage, with the tops of many pine trees snapped off. There was some minor structural damage as well, with the roofs of a few barns blown off and thrown a couple hundred feet. A car port also collapsed crushing a car. Damage amounts are estimated.
03:35Z EF0 KGSP NC Catawba Terrell This tornado touched down in extreme southeast Catawba, on a Lake Norman peninsula. Damage was first observed in the area around Kiser Island Rd and Barbor Circle. Numerous trees and large limbs were downed along Harbor Circle, with the roofs of several homes damaged by falling debris. Some minor roof damage was observed due to wind. A boat docked near Harbor Circle was blown across the lake, washing up on shore on the Iredell County side of the lake. The tornado continued east northeast over Lake Norman, crossing into Iredell County just west of the Hager Creek access area.
03:36Z EF0 KGSP NC Iredell Mayhew The tornado that began in extreme southeast Catawba County entered Iredell County over Lake Norman, just west of the Hager Creek access area. The tornado continued northeast, downing trees in an area just north of the Hager Creek area. The tornado continued northeast to the Kemp Rd area, where numerous trees were blown down along the waterfront. Several homes were damaged by falling trees in this area. Tree damage continued northeast to Bayberry Creek Rd and Ardmore Place, where the tornado apparently lifted.
04:14Z EF0 KFCX VA Henry Aiken Summit A EF0 tornado touched down on Irisburg Road and was intermittently on the ground for over 5 miles as it traveled northeast, before lifting on Peach Orchard Road. Several trees were damaged or snapped and 5 outbuildings were also damaged. Three homes also received minor damage. Damage amounts are estimated.
04:15Z EF0 KFCX VA Pittsylvania Cascade A EF0 tornado touched down on Irisburg Road and was intermittently on the ground for over 5 miles as it traveled northeast, before lifting on Peach Orchard Road. Several trees were damaged or snapped and 5 outbuildings were also damaged. Three homes also received minor damage. Damage amounts are estimated.
06:42Z EF2 KRAX VA Halifax Mayo The tornado touched down near Highway 96 in the Mayo Community and continued intermittently on the ground for a mile. It destroyed one barn, blew several roofs off sheds, moved one house off its foundation, and downed hundreds of trees. The tornado then strengthened to EF2 status along a 2 mile continuous path, from Watts Trail through North Fork Church Road to Lowery road. In this path approximately 15 telephone poles were snapped off, thousands of trees were downed, and 3 homes had windows blown out, roofs damaged, or trees falling on them. Numerous barns and outbuildings were also destroyed. the tornado then weakened as it approached Lowery Road before lifting. Near Lowery Road one home was damaged with windows blown out and roof damage. Several large trees were also downed along with 2 barns and 3 outbuildings destroyed.
07:00Z EF0 KRAX VA Mecklenburg Orgainville National Weather Service Storm Survey confirmed a tornado occurred near the intersection of Skipwood Road and New Hope Road. Storm damage in the area was consistent with a high-end EF0 tornado with winds estimated at 70 to 80 mph. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down, minor shed damage was incurred and several tree tops were twisted.
